An unforgettable stay at London’s Intercontinental park lane Hotel
London is one of the most beautiful cities of the world that has a special place in my heart. During my last visit I was wondering about looking up some good place to stay, when I was recommended with the choice of the Intercontinental Park Hotel; and I thought why not since I had heard so much about it!
The International Park Lane hotel is the luxury flagship of the IHG hotels in London. What I realized was that its location was right in the centre of London just a short drive of 5 minutes from the Knights Bridge.
I think as far as the location is concerned it is one of the best places which puts you right in the middle of the city from where you can enjoy your visits to the nearby places at leisure and also relax in the five-star comfort.
I forgot to mention that I had visited London in the month of December; and since it was around the Christmas time it was quite dark outside when we arrived and of course outside there was a slight chill in the air too.
The Hotel lobby had a warm look and was well decorated. It was a totally different world from outside and the welcoming reception staff was very helpful.
The lobby also had a beautiful sitting area where we could rest while our paperwork was being checked and an unforgettable stay at The London’s famous Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel. What was surprising was that throughout the preceding there was a personal manager along with us to satisfy any questions and requests that we had.
As is expected, the room was very special and had all the amenities one would expect. The welcome tray was well stocked with some of the best offerings and juices besides the complementary bottled water.
The bed was king sized and very comfortable with luxurious bed linen which was soft to touch and rich in taste. The toiletries were perfect in every sense.
The view from the window was simply great as it overlooked the park lane. I was told that the other side at the news of the Hyde Park, which was even better but I have no complaints as this too was good enough and we had a nice evening looking down at the streets as the cars drove by.
The afternoon tea was complementary and it was in the famous Wellington Lounge which had the settings of a typical Fairytale English tea.
I was rather looking forward to it, and it did not disappoint me in any way as I sipped the flavors of some of the best Tea that was laid out so magnanimously along with scones, pastries and biscuits. The menu had an innovative festive twist with Christmas theme.
The Checking Out
The breakfast it was unbelievable with a huge assortment of food choices prepared to perfection.
The check out was smooth with the staff very helpful. The entire experience of this stay in Intercontinental Park Lane hotel, London was perfect and certainly a delight.
